Introduction:
I discovered Neil Gaiman's work by accident, mostly because I do not really follow comic books. My brother's best friend came to my room, asking me if I knew about him, and my curiousity peaked. Curiousity killed the cat, or so the saying goes, but in my case -- it emptied my pocket. I went and got as much of Neil's work as I could find, and what I found floored me.
It was like discovering a whole new mythology -- it's not exactly the art, but the writing and the story itself is what makes the myth beautiful. It's that kind of myth that you could believe in, whatever your beliefs are... and even though it's sometimes darkly disturbing, you find that in the end you understand.
